NAB submits details of Nawaz assets in court

ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday submitted the complete asset details of convicted former premier Nawaz Sharif’s in an accountability court in the Toshakhana (gift depository) reference on Friday. The PML-N supreme leader, who is in London for medical treatment since late last year, was declared a proclaimed offender in the case in September.

The court had also ordered the seizure of the former premier’s assets in the reference filed by the country’s top anti-graft body. The investigation officer of National Muhammad Raheel Azam presented a detailed report of NAB. According to the report, Nawaz Sharif has shares in four companies. The report mentioned that Nawaz Sharif has 467,850 shares in the Muhammad Bakhsh Textile Mills while in Hudaybia Paper Mills Nawaz Sharif owns 343,425 shares. Apart from this Nawaz Sharif owned a huge stake in Hudaybia Engineering Company and in Ittefaq Textile Mills.

Nawaz Sharif has 566 Euros, 698 US dollars, and 498 sterling pounds in his foreign currency accounts. The NAB report revealed that Nawaz Sharif and his associates owned 1752 kanal land in Raiwand as well as in Moza Sultan he owned 103 and 312 kanal land respectively.

According to the Excise and Taxation offices of Islamabad and Lahore Nawaz Sharif has 3 cars and 2 tractors on his name.
