Lahore district administration remains uncertain about granting permission for the PTI rally

Deputy Commissioner seeks police clearance. The Lahore district administration is still undecided about granting permission for a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally planned for September 21 in the city.

Despite receiving three separate applications from PTI, including one from opposition leader Ahmed Khan Bhachar, no decision has been made yet.

Bhachar submitted the third application on September 16, requesting a change of the rally date from September 22 to September 21. This follows two earlier petitions, one of which was filed by PTI leader Umar Ayub. Bhachar has also asked the district administration to consolidate all petitions for a single decision.

The delay in reaching a decision is due to the time required to obtain police clearance, which is essential for any public gathering. Two days have passed since the Deputy Commissioner (DC) requested permission from the police, but no response has been received.
