Adiala Jail
ISLAMABAD: The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Aamer Farooq said that the court will take up for hearing petition of Imran Khan’s transfer to Adiala Jail on Wednesday (Aug 9).
The IHC chief justice said, “Today, we can discuss objections relating to the petition. Tomorrow we will take up for hearing the petition.”
The IHC chief stated this while presiding over the hearing of a petition of the Imran Khan’s lawyer. The petition requests the transfer of PTI Chairman Imran Khan from Attock Jail to Adiala Jail.

The PTI submitted the petition on Monday. In the petition, PTI said that Imran Khan should receive A-class accommodations in jail.
The petition cited Rule 243 in conjunction with Rule 248 of Pakistan Prison Rules. It states, “The Petitioner is entitled to A-Class facilities, given the petitioner’s social and political status, his education, and his accustomed better living style.”
Furthermore, the petition appealed for permission to allow the PTI chair’s legal team, personal physician, and family members to visit him.
Islamabad police arrested Imran Khan on August 5 after the court convicted him in the Toshakhana case. The court found him guilty of corrupt practices related to the state gift depositor.
Additional and Sessions District Judge Humayun Dilawar handed down a three-year jail sentence to Khan along with a fine of Rs100,000.
PTI challenges the Toshakhana case, seeks Khan’s transfer to Adiala Jail
Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) filed a petition with the Supreme Court, requesting the court to declare the Toshakhana case as “null and void.”
The party filed the petition under Article 184(2) of the Constitution, seeking a rehearing of the Toshakhana case. The ground for this request were that the PTI chief had not received a fair trial.
Earlier, the party filed a petition with the IHC. The petition requested the court to transfer Imran Khan to Adiala jail. The petitioner also sought A-Class facilities for Imran Khan.
