Imran Khan claims that establishment is putting pressure on Punjab CM Pervez Elahi

Lahore/ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan has claimed that the establishment was putting pressure on Chief Minister of Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi regarding dissolution of provincial assembly.

Khan, however, was confident that Punjab chief minister would forward the summary to dissolve the Punjab assembly whenever he is asked to do it.

PTI chief and former prime minister stated this on Monday while talking to the PTI members of the provincial assemblies (MPA) from Sargodha, Khushab, and Jhang. Khan said this in response to chief minister’s statement wherein Pervez Elahi said that he will not tolerate criticism of Gen. Bajwa.

Punjab chief minister has openly said that Bajwa has supported PTI and PML-Q a lot when he was army chief and it was totally unfair to criticise him after his retirement.

On Saturday (Dec 17), Imran Khan announced that the Punjab and KP assemblies will be dissolved on Dec 23 (Friday). Khan announced this during his video-address to the party’s rally held in Lahore at Liberty Chowk.

After this announcement of Imran Khan, coalition government and PDM leaders have paced up their efforts to foil dissolution of assemblies especially Punjab Assembly and they are trying to get support of Shujaat Hussain and Pervez Elahi as well for this purpose.
