Former PTI Ministers Zubaida Jalal, and Fawad Chaudhry appear in NAB in Al-Qadir Trust Corruption case: Sh. Rashid stays away

Two former federal ministers of PTI appeared in the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Rawalpindi office on Tuesday. They gave answers to NAB’s questions pertaining to Al-Qadir Trust involving mega corruption in the settlement of 190 million pounds.

Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid, nonetheless, did not appear before the NAB team and he just submitted his reply.

He informed the NAB that he was not a federal minister when the issue of the 190 million pounds settlement was presented before the PTI cabinet. Sheikh Rashid also said that he did not have any documents or proof about the settlement of 190 million pounds.

In 2019, the National Crimes Agency (NCA) seized 190 million pounds of Malik Riaz’s family in London and returned the amount to Pakistan (PTI) government.

According to NAB, Imran Khan (who was prime minister at that time) and his wife Bushra Bibi got more than 400 kanals of land from Bahria Town as a reward for the settlement of 190 million pounds.

The PTI government, instead of adjusting 190 million pounds in the state kitty, deposited it in the Supreme Court’s account to settle payment by Bahria Town.

Meanwhile, federal ministers Zubaida Jalal and Fawad Chaudhry shared the information with the NAB, whatever was in their knowledge and left the NAB Rawalpindi office after answering questions from the NAB team.

It was learnt that all the former federal ministers of PTI will appear in the NAB one by one to give answers to NAB’s questions pertaining to the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case and settlement of 190 million pounds.

Imran Khan appeared before NAB in the Al-Qadir Trust case

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) probed former prime minister and PTI chairman Imran Khan in the 190 million Pounds settlement case around mid-May.

Khan appeared in the NAB’s office in Rawalpindi amid strict security a few days after getting bail in eight cases from the ATC in Islamabad.

The NAB team probed the former Premier for more than three hours.

Answering some of the questions of the NAB team, Imran Khan said that the record of 190 million Pounds settlement was with the Cabinet Division.

Khan also told NAB that the Bureau had already received a record of the case. Imran Khan left the NAB office after responding to the NAB’s questions.
