Azma Bokhari urges PPP to recognize relief efforts for Punjab

On Sunday, Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari called on the Pakistan Peoples Party to acknowledge the relief efforts being made for the people of Punjab.

Bokhari expressed her concerns, stating, “The PPP engages in discussions with the Punjab government on one hand, while simultaneously criticizing the relief measures provided to the people of Punjab on the other.”

Bokhari highlighted the significant contributions of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, noting, “Maryam Nawaz is investing Rs 400 billion into road development across the province and is working to reduce electricity bills for residents.”

She also mentioned Nawaz’s initiative to provide Rs 1.5 million in loans for home construction, emphasizing the positive impact of these measures.

Furthermore, Bokhari pointed out improvements in healthcare, stating, “New hospitals are being established, and medicines are readily available throughout the province.”

She expressed frustration over the lack of recognition for these advancements, adding, “It is beyond my comprehension that those who have been defeated cannot see the development and progress being made.”

Bokhari’s comments reflect her frustration with the PPP’s stance and her call for a more balanced recognition of the efforts being made to support and improve conditions in Punjab.
