An anti-terrorism court in Sargodha has granted bail to Omar Ayub Khan, Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, extending it until July 15, following a joint raid by Mianwali and Islamabad police on his residence in Islamabad’s Sector F-10.
The raid was conducted after non-bailable arrest warrants were issued against him by the Sargodha anti-terrorism court.
Omar Ayub Khan, also the opposition leader in the National Assembly, had earlier submitted his resignation as PTI Secretary General, a move that was subsequently rejected by the PTI parliamentary party through a resolution.
