A Twitter user named Liz Trussel is recently being mistaken on twitter for the freshly elected British Prime Minister Liz Truss. The Twitter user began to receive congratulations from users who mistakenly believed she was Liz Truss, the incoming prime minister of the UK. Ms. Truss, 47, defeated Rishi Sunak, a former Chancellor of the Exchequer of Indian descent, to win the internal leadership election of the ruling Conservative Party on Monday. After Theresa May and Margaret Thatcher, Ms. Truss will become the third female prime minister of the UK.
Liz Trussell joined the social network about ten years ago, but she hasn’t posted much since then. Her username is @liztruss. According to Metro, several prominent individuals who attempted to tag the new Conservative party leader @trussliz with her Twitter handle were duped.
The Swedish Prime Minister, who messaged the incorrect account, is one of them. Magdalena Andersson erased her post after realizing her error, but Ms. Trussell had already indicated that she was open to meeting.

Caroline Lucas, the Green MP for Brighton, made the mistake. In her tweet she said “She still doesn’t get it” and that “she’s campaigned as a rightwing ideologue & will govern as such which is a disaster for all of us”.
