Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will lead a high-level delegation to Riyadh from October 27 to 29 at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to attend the Ninth Edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII9), the Foreign Office announced on Saturday.
The delegation will include Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, along with several senior cabinet members, reflecting Pakistan’s strong commitment to deepening its economic and diplomatic ties with Saudi Arabia and other global partners.
Focus on Innovation and Global Growth
The FII9 summit will gather world leaders, investors, policymakers, and innovators to discuss the theme “The Key to Prosperity: Unlocking New Frontiers of Growth.” The three-day event will explore major global challenges and opportunities, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, economic inclusion, and geopolitical trends shaping the modern world.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to meet Saudi leadership during his visit to discuss ways to expand bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, energy, and human resource development. The talks will also cover regional and global issues of shared interest.
Promoting Pakistan’s Economic Potential
On the sidelines of the forum, PM Shehbaz will engage with leaders of other participating nations and heads of international organizations to highlight Pakistan’s investment opportunities, economic reforms, and commitment to sustainable development under the “Think, Exchange, and Act” framework of the conference.
The Foreign Office emphasized that the visit underscores Pakistan’s dedication to advancing economic diplomacy and fostering strategic partnerships in areas such as investment, technology, and innovation-driven growth.
