ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched an immediate inquiry into the reduction of Pakistanโs private Hajj quota, which has left thousands of pilgrims unable to perform Hajj 2025.
Three-Member Committee Formed
To address the issue, the PM has formed a high-level committee to investigate the failure to secure the private Hajj quota on time. The committee comprises:

The committee has been directed to submit its findings within three days, identifying those responsible for the lapse and the reasons behind the Ministry of Religious Affairsโ failure to obtain the quota in time.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs has been asked to clarify why thousands of pilgrims were left in uncertainty due to the delayed allocation of the private Hajj quota.
Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Hajj 2025 Agreement
Under the Hajj 2025 agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, a total of 179,210 Pakistani pilgrims will be performing Hajj this year. The agreement also ensures:

๐ A short Hajj program (20 to 25 days) for convenience.
๐ Flexible stay options in Madina (4 to 8 days).
๐ Pilgrims will receive a customized bag with a Pakistani flag, QR code for identification, and essential travel information.
