According to a notification of the Prime Ministerโs Office, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in the capacity of PCB patron-in-chief, nominated Zaka Ashraf and Ramday as members of the PCB’s Board of Governors.

Zaka Ashraf, who had also served as the PCB chairman during the last government of the PPP is expected to take up the elite post once again.
With the nomination of Zaka Ashraf and Ramday, the 10-member Board of Governors will complete.
Apart from Ashraf and Ramday, four representatives each from cricket associations and departments will join the BoG of Pakistan Sports Board.
Meanwhile, the chief election commissioner will now hold election this week to complete the formality.
Moreover, Najam Sethi, the head of the PCB management committee said his term will expire tomorrow (June 21).
Sethi said that he doesn’t want to be a “bone of contention” between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari to retain the PCB top slot.
Furthermore, Federal Minister for IPC Ehsan Ur Rehman Mazari had said that Zaka Ashraf will become the next chairman of the PCB.
He said that Najam Sethi’s mandate was only to hold free and fair elections in regions.
“Najam Sethi came to head the interim management committee and only had one mandate to conduct elections in the cricket regions,” he said.
