Frontline Soldiers
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited the Pasrur Cantonment in Sialkot, where he met with officers and soldiers actively engaged in Operation Binyan-e-Marsous.
The visit underscored the government’s ongoing support and recognition of the Pakistan Armed Forcesโ unwavering dedication to national defence amid heightened regional tensions.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by key cabinet members including Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.
Upon arrival, he was warmly received by Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and the Corps Commander of Sialkot.
During his address to the troops, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the bravery, professionalism, and sacrifices of the armed forces. He hailed the military personnel as the โcrown jewels of the nation,โ commending their unflinching dedication to safeguarding Pakistanโs sovereignty. He also acknowledged the hardships faced by families of soldiers, recognizing them as equal partners in the nationโs defence.
PM Shehbaz strongly condemned the recent Indian aggression and the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly.
He described these acts as blatant violations of international law, humanitarian principles, and the ethics of warfare. The Prime Minister criticized the Indian government for labeling Pakistani civilians as terrorists to justify its unjustified aggression.
Referring to Pakistanโs offer for impartial investigations into recent incidents, PM Shehbaz noted that India chose instead to pursue a confrontational path, rooted in arrogance and disinformation.
He emphasized that Pakistan responded swiftly and decisively, successfully neutralizing the threat within hours. โHistory will remember how Pakistan thwarted the attack and turned the tide,โ he declared.
In a message aimed at boosting morale, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the martyrs of the armed forces, calling them eternal symbols of national pride and sacrifice. He reassured the troops that the entire nation stands united behind them.
The Prime Minister is also scheduled to visit Pakistan Air Force and Navy installations in the coming days. His address to the officers and troops at Pasrur will be aired on Pakistan Television later this evening.
