Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed Mosharraf Zaidi as his spokesperson for foreign media, a move aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s global communication and image.
The official notification, signed by the prime minister’s adviser Dr. Tauqir Shah, was issued on Sunday, instructing the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Cabinet Division to implement the appointment immediately.
Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar congratulated Zaidi, calling his inclusion a valuable addition to the communication team. Tarar praised his recent collaboration with Zaidi, describing it as a highly productive experience, and said he looked forward to working together in the future.
Tarar emphasized that Zaidi’s appointment would strengthen Pakistan’s narrative on international platforms, helping to present a clearer, stronger, and more credible image of the country in foreign media circles.
Zaidi, a well-known policy analyst, writer, and commentator, has previously worked on governance, education reform, and foreign policy issues. His expertise in international communication and public diplomacy is expected to play a key role in projecting Pakistan’s position on global affairs more effectively.
This appointment comes as part of the government’s broader strategy to revamp its media outreach, ensuring Pakistan’s voice is better represented in international discussions and policy debates.
