Made in Heaven
During a meeting on the sidelines of the third Belt and Road Forum (BRF) for International Cooperation in Beijing, Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar hailed Pakistan’s partnership with China as “made in heaven.”
He expressed unwavering support, stating, “We will always stand with China and trust you blindly.” The meeting took place as part of the ongoing celebrations marking the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).

The two nations recently decided to expand the scope of the multibillion-dollar infrastructure project, diversifying into areas such as industrial development, ICT, livelihood projects, mining and mineral exploration, and agriculture.
PM Kakar conveyed Pakistan’s deep commitment to China and described the bilateral ties as “sweeter than honey” and an “iron-clad brotherhood.” He emphasized the significance of the Belt and Road Initiative in addressing global challenges.
Kakar assured China of Pakistan’s unwavering support and a commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership through both words and actions. He stated that Pakistan would not compromise on its relationship with China.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Kakar mentioned that President Xi reassured China’s support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and development, as well as their shared vision for Pakistan as a hub of regional trade and economics. President Xi also accepted Kakar’s invitation to visit Pakistan in the near future.

Kakar provided the Chinese businessmen with insights into Pakistan’s initiatives for economic and financial stability and shared the country’s vision for sustainable and inclusive development. He highlighted Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies, including the establishment of the Special Investment Facilitation Council, which would serve as a one-window platform for facilitating foreign investment.
In return, Chinese entrepreneurs briefed the prime minister about their business activities in Pakistan and expressed their interest in collaborating with Pakistani partners. Kakar also extended an invitation to the executives to visit Pakistan and engage with relevant ministers to discuss their business interests.
