Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced the restart of its direct flight service from Dubai to Skardu, beginning Friday, May 30, 2025.
To commemorate the occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held at the PIA office in Dubai, attended by Consul General H.E. Hussain Muhammad. The event also featured a group of foreign tourists traveling on the inaugural flight, highlighting the rising global interest in Pakistanโs picturesque northern regions.
Regional Manager Sarmad Aizaz and his team organized the event, marking a key initiative to enhance tourism and deepen people-to-people connections between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates.
In a related development, PIA has also announced the commencement of direct flights from Lahore to Paris, scheduled to begin on June 18. This new weekly route complements the airlineโs existing two weekly flights from Islamabad to Paris.
According to PIA, the newly launched routes are aimed at offering greater travel convenience while also contributing to the countryโs foreign exchange earnings by attracting international travelers.
