Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially announced the resumption of its flight operations to Canada, with the first flight scheduled to depart from Karachi to Toronto on September 30.
The development marks an important step for the airline in reconnecting with international destinations and facilitating the Pakistani diaspora in Canada.
According to PIA officials, the airline will operate Boeing 777 aircraft on this long-haul route to ensure passengers a safe and comfortable journey. Bookings have already been opened, with the inaugural KarachiโToronto flight set to depart at 8am on September 30.
To further encourage passengers, PIA has introduced a special 15% discount on all flights to Canada. The discount offer is valid for tickets purchased until October 10 and applies to travel dates between September 30 and December 19, 2025. The move is part of PIAโs strategy to make international travel more affordable and accessible for its passengers.
A spokesperson for the airline confirmed that the fare reduction policy has been implemented with immediate effect. โThe discount has already been applied, and passengers can immediately benefit from reduced fares when booking tickets,โ the spokesperson said.
He further added that the initiative reflects PIAโs commitment to supporting travelers by providing them with cost-effective options, especially during the busy travel season.
The resumption of Canada flights is expected to benefit thousands of Pakistanis residing in Toronto and surrounding regions, many of whom frequently travel between the two countries. For PIA, this move not only restores a vital international route but also enhances the airlineโs connectivity and competitiveness in the aviation sector.
With this step, PIA aims to strengthen its international operations while offering passengers both comfort and affordability, reinforcing its position as the countryโs national carrier.
