PESHAWAR: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar has officially declared the results for the 2025 annual examinations of both 9th and 10th grades, marking a significant milestone for thousands of students across the region.
According to official figures released by the board, a total of 91,589 students appeared in the Matric (10th grade) examinations this year. Out of these, 76,484 students successfully passed their exams, while 14,530 students failed, bringing the overall pass percentage to an impressive 83.5 percent.
The board further announced that all students who failed in 10th grade have been promoted to the next class, reflecting a supportive approach to academic progression.
In the 9th grade examinations, 101,888 students sat for the papers. Among them, 61,753 candidates were declared successful, while 38,907 students failed in one or more subjects.
Despite the large number of students who didn’t clear all their subjects, the board reported a strikingly high overall pass percentage of 98.8 percent for the 9th grade. These results indicate a generally positive academic performance and reflect the collective efforts of students, teachers, and educational institutions.
Gender-wise participation was also notable. In the Matric exams, 31,722 female students appeared, while in the 9th grade, 35,017 girls took part, demonstrating a strong presence of female candidates across both grades.
Among the top performers in the Matric Science Group, students from Peshawar Model School (Girls Branch-2) dominated the top positions. Fatima Jugnoo secured the first position with an outstanding 1180 marks.
Her classmate, Sarah Imran, earned the second position with 1178 marks. The third position was jointly held by two students: Shumaila, and Aina Shoaib of Peshawar Model School Girls Branch located on Dalazak Road, both scoring 1176 marks.
The Peshawar Board has lauded the hard work of students, dedication of teachers, and the commitment of educational institutions that contributed to this year’s successful exam cycle. The board also confirmed that individual result cards and detailed mark sheets are now accessible through official channels, enabling students to review their performance and plan their academic futures accordingly.
