A peace jirga convened in Sui, Balochistan, bringing together senior security officials and tribal leaders to discuss regional security and development initiatives. Major General Abid Mazhar, Inspector General of the Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan (North), led the discussions with tribal elders, social workers, civil administration representatives, and local community members.
The tribal leaders acknowledged the notable security improvements in Dera Bugti, Sui, and surrounding areas, which they credited to the efforts of FC Balochistan. They expressed their full support for the state institutions and security forces in their ongoing counter-terrorism operations.
Major General Mazhar reaffirmed the Frontier Corps’ dedication to safeguarding public safety and protecting civilian lives and property. He also highlighted the FC’s continued role in providing essential services, including education and healthcare, in the region.
The jirga underscored the ongoing collaboration between security forces and local communities to maintain stability in the area. Civil administration representatives also took part in discussions on future development projects and necessary security measures.
