Patrick Schwarzenegger is set to star opposite Margaret Qualley in the upcoming romantic drama Love of Your Life, directed by acclaimed Black Panther cinematographer Rachel Morrison.
Produced by Ryan Gosling and his producing partner Jessie Henderson, the Amazon MGM Studios project will begin filming this August across various European locations.
The film also stars Mufasa: The Lion King actor Aaron Pierre. Written by Julia Cox, the story follows a grieving woman (played by Qualley) as she embarks on a transformative journey to rediscover meaning in life after the death of her husband. Schwarzenegger will portray her ex-boyfriend and longtime friend, adding emotional complexity to the narrative.
Patrick, son of iconic action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, recently addressed ongoing conversations about nepotism in Hollywood following his breakout role in The White Lotus.
“People don’t see the ten years of acting classes, the high school plays, the hours spent working on characters, or the hundreds of auditions that didn’t go anywhere,” Patrick said in a recent interview.
While he acknowledged the challenges of being judged by his famous last name, he emphasized his gratitude for the life he leads.
“Of course, it’s frustrating and you think, ‘I wish I didn’t have my last name.’ But that’s just a moment. I would never trade my life with anyone. I’m incredibly fortunate to have the family I do and the values they’ve given me.”
Love of Your Life marks an exciting collaboration between rising stars and seasoned creatives, with anticipation building ahead of its production launch later this year.
