Inspector Iram Khanum of the Rawalpindi Police has earned international acclaim after securing two gold medals at the World Powerlifting Championship 2025, held in Sri Lanka. Her remarkable performance has brought pride to the Punjab Police and Pakistan, a police spokesman said on Thursday.
Competing against top athletes from several countries, Inspector Khanum demonstrated exceptional strength and determination, achieving top positions in both the powerlifting category and the deadlift event. In doing so, she outperformed a leading Indian contender, further highlighting the significance of her victory on the global stage.
Upon her return to Rawalpindi, Inspector Khanum received a warm and enthusiastic welcome at the City Police Officer’s Office on Wednesday.

CPO Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani, personally congratulated her on the milestone and praised her dedication and hard work.
