Pakistani Aviation Sector hard hit: PAA

Karachi: The Pakistani aviation sector during the last one month has accrued a loss of Rs 72 million on account of the lost routes in the Persian Gulf and Arabian Peninsula. It is important to point out that apart from the national carrier PIA, Air Blue, Fly Jinnah etc have routes to religious destinations like Madina, and to the major concentrations of Pakistani expatriate population specially in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. the indefinite closure has its bearing on the profit margins; due to which an astronomical rise in local routes fares has been observed by the regulators.
