In a final bid to secure the reinstatement of Pakistanโs private Hajj quota for 2025, the Ministry of Religious Affairs has submitted a formal appeal to Saudi authorities in both English and Arabic.
The letter stresses the plight of 67,000 Pakistani pilgrims who were excluded from this yearโs Hajj due to technical complications and delays in payments to service providers. It emphasizes that many of these individuals are elderly and may not get another opportunity to perform the pilgrimage.
The Ministry assured Saudi officials that all required funds for these pilgrims are already deposited and requested that any remaining accommodation in Mina be allocated to Pakistan. The appeal also pledged strict adherence to all future deadlines and regulations, noting that the oversight would not be repeated.
The Ministry expressed deep concern over the distress caused to those affected, describing their emotional pain as immeasurable. It called the restoration of their quota a matter of Islamic solidarity and compassion, and urged Saudi Arabia to consider the appeal in the spirit of brotherhood.
