ABU DHABI – Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to strengthen collaboration in digital governance, capacity-building, and the use of artificial intelligence to enhance public services, according to an official press release.
The understanding was reached during a visit by Pakistan’s Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal, to the Department of Government Enablement (DGE) in Abu Dhabi.
During the visit, Minister Iqbal met with Ahmed Tamim Hisham Al Kuttab, Chairman of the DGE, and discussed Abu Dhabi’s achievements in deploying AI and digital technologies to streamline governance and improve public service delivery.
Iqbal praised the DGE’s innovative digital platforms and expressed Pakistan’s interest in forming strategic partnerships to advance its own public sector reform efforts.
The visit reflects a growing interest in bilateral cooperation between Pakistan and the UAE in areas aligned with future-ready governance and digital transformation.
