Afghan Card Holders
Pakistanโs ongoing deportation campaign against illegal immigrants and Afghan Citizen Card (ACC) holders continues to gain momentum, as authorities reported the repatriation of more than 4,804 illegal Afghan nationals on April 24 alone.
This brings the cumulative number of illegal Afghan residents who have departed the country to an estimated 997,893.
The large-scale operation follows the expiration of the government-imposed deadline requiring all undocumented foreign nationals, including Afghan Citizen Card holders, to voluntarily leave Pakistan.
Authorities have emphasized a zero-tolerance policy for those remaining in the country illegally, stating that strict legal action will be taken against anyone who continues to reside in Pakistan without proper documentation.
The deportation initiative is part of the governmentโs broader efforts to regulate immigration and reinforce national security. Officials maintain that the repatriation process is being carried out in an orderly and dignified manner.
The Government of Pakistan has repeatedly assured that no mistreatment or abuse will occur during the removal of illegal residents, and the human rights of all individuals involved will be respected throughout the process.
Security and immigration agencies across the country have been mobilized to identify and process individuals who have overstayed or failed to comply with immigration laws.
Dedicated checkpoints have been set up in key regions, and transportation facilities are being provided to ensure safe return for those departing voluntarily.
The deportation drive, which began after repeated government warnings and grace periods, has seen thousands leave Pakistan each week. Officials continue to urge all remaining illegal immigrants to leave the country immediately to avoid arrest or legal proceedings.
With the number of deportations approaching the one-million mark, Pakistan’s stance on undocumented immigration remains firm, reflecting a determined push to enforce immigration regulations while maintaining a commitment to humane treatment.
