ISLAMABAD: On the directives of the Prime Minister, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) dispatched the twenty-third humanitarian consignment to Palestine. A special flight departed from Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore, carrying 100 tons of relief goods.
Essential Food Supplies Included
The aid package contained ration bags with flour, rice, cooking oil, chickpeas, ready-to-eat meals, and canned fruits. Officials confirmed that the supplies aim to provide immediate support for Palestinian families in dire need.
Total Aid Reaches 2,227 Tons
With this latest shipment, Pakistan has sent a total of 2,227 tons of aid through twenty-three consignments. The continuous assistance highlights Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the people of Palestine during this humanitarian crisis.
Governor Punjab Attends Ceremony
Governor Punjab Sardar Salim Haider Khan attended the send-off ceremony as chief guest. Government officials, NDMA officers, and representatives of Alkhidmat Foundation also participated in the event. The governor praised NDMA and welfare organizations for ensuring timely dispatch of relief goods.
Pakistan Reiterates Solidarity with Palestine
In his address, Governor Punjab reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the people of Palestine. He emphasized that innocent Palestinians, including children, are being martyred daily due to Israeli attacks. He strongly condemned Israel for targeting civilian areas and violating humanitarian principles.
Call for International Action
Governor Punjab urged the United Nations to take strict notice of Israeli aggression in Gaza. He also called on Islamic countries to collectively support Palestine and strengthen efforts to stop the violence. He assured that Pakistan will continue making every possible effort to meet Palestinian needs in these difficult times.
