Pakistan’s textile sector marked a major milestone with the successful conclusion of Textile Asia 2025, the largest textile exhibition in South Asia, where trade deals worth nearly $550 million were finalized along with several significant investment memorandums.
The three-day event, organized by E-commerce Gateway Pakistan in collaboration with the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), attracted a massive turnout of over 67,000 trade visitors and participation from 500 multinational companies representing more than 20 countries across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
International delegations, including representatives from Turkey, China, Russia, and others, presented state-of-the-art textile technologies, bolstering global investor confidence in Pakistanโs industrial capabilities and economic potential. This strong foreign presence underlined Pakistanโs emerging role as a competitive base for textile production and exports.
Dr. Khurshid Nizam, President of E-commerce Gateway Pakistan, stated, โTextile Asia 2025 has realized Pakistanโs ambition to become a global textile hub.โ Project Director Azier Nizam also emphasized the overwhelming global response, saying the level of engagement and business agreements far exceeded expectations.
The expo featured expert-led discussions on cutting-edge topics such as automation, sustainability, and advanced manufacturing in textiles, underscoring Pakistanโs commitment to aligning with international industrial standards.
Industry stakeholders hailed the event as a transformative moment for export promotion, foreign investment, and international collaboration. The exhibition created a dynamic platform to foster technical and business linkages between Pakistani manufacturers and global textile enterprises.
The record-breaking turnout and commercial activity highlighted Pakistanโs shifting position on the global textile map. Participants pledged to sustain this progress through continued innovation and sustainable practices.
As the 29th edition of the event, this yearโs expo stands as the largest in Pakistanโs history, reinforcing the countryโs potential to compete globally through technological advancement and strategic partnerships in the textile sector.
