ISLAMABAD: Pakistan unveiled a comprehensive dossier accusing India of staging a false flag operation in Pahalgam, Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), and launching unprovoked military strikes against civilian areas within Pakistan. The document also details Pakistan’s retaliatory military action, Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos, which was carried out under its right to self-defence as enshrined in Article 51 of the UN Charter.
The dossier claims that the April 22, 2025, incident in Pahalgam was orchestrated by India to serve internal political purposes rather than to address genuine security threats. According to Pakistani officials, the attack was quickly blamed on Pakistan—within just ten minutes—without any investigation or credible evidence. Islamabad had offered a joint, impartial international inquiry into the incident, which was reportedly rejected by New Delhi.
“The Pahalgam incident was clearly a false flag operation,” the dossier states. “Fabricated facts were used as justification for targeted strikes on Muridke, Bahawalpur, and Muzaffarabad, which led to civilian casualties, including women and children.”
The document provides supporting evidence such as satellite imagery, international media coverage, and technical data that allegedly indicate Indian responsibility. It also accuses Indian media outlets and RAW-linked social media accounts of orchestrating a coordinated disinformation campaign to incite public hysteria and justify military escalation.
“The speed at which India assigned blame, without following standard investigative protocols, raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of its claims,” the dossier adds.
In response to the attacks, Pakistan launched Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos on May 10, targeting exclusively military installations while avoiding civilian areas. The operation reportedly resulted in the downing of five Indian aircraft and several large drones, as well as the destruction of S-400 missile systems at Adampur and Bhuj, and BrahMos missile storage facilities at Beas and Nagrota.
Additional targets included military logistics centers, command nodes, and radar installations involved in the initial aggression. The dossier emphasizes that Pakistan’s response was “brutal but measured,” adhering strictly to international law and aiming to prevent wider escalation.
“Pakistan’s actions were swift, precise, and proportional—focused on defending its sovereignty while avoiding harm to civilians,” the document asserts. “No provocation can compromise Pakistan’s security or resolve.”
Reiterating its longstanding commitment to regional peace, Pakistan clarified that it does not seek conflict but will respond decisively to any aggression. The dossier also accuses India of state-sponsored terrorism and highlights Pakistan’s repeated efforts to present credible evidence of Indian involvement in cross-border violence to the global community.
Diplomatic analysts view the release of this dossier as a major development, one that directly challenges India’s narrative and draws international attention to alleged violations of international norms and humanitarian law.
