Military targets hit in Kabul and Nangarhar
ISLAMABAD: Pakistani security forces conducted more airstrikesย inside Afghanistan and targetedย Afghan Taliban military facilities. The airstrikes were conducted under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.
According to military officials, Pakistani aircraft struck multiple locations in Kabul and Nangarhar, destroying ammunition storage sites and technical support infrastructure allegedly used by militant elements. The strikes formed part of a broader effort to dismantle facilities linked to cross-border attacks.
In Kabul, Pakistani forces targeted two locations where ammunition depots and technical support facilities were operating. Security officials said the sites were effectively destroyed during the operation. Footage circulating after the strikes showed large flames and powerful explosions, suggesting the targets were military installations rather than civilian offices or hospitals.
Meanwhile, in Nangarhar province, Pakistani aircraft hit Taliban military installations at four separate locations. Security sources said the strikes damaged key military infrastructure believed to support militant activities.
Government rejects claims of civilian casualties
However, the Afghan Talibanโs spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid claimed that a hospital had been struck during the operation. Pakistanโs Ministry of Information and Broadcasting rejected the allegation, calling it contrary to facts and an attempt to mislead both domestic and international audiences.
Officials also dismissed reports of civilian casualties. They stated that the operation was conducted with extreme precision and caution to avoid unnecessary damage and minimise risks to non-combatants.
Furthermore, authorities said the targeted locations were being used by terrorists associated with โFitna al-Khawarijโ and pro-Taliban groups to plan and launch attacks inside Pakistan.
The ministry reiterated that Pakistan prioritises regional peace and stability. Nevertheless, it stressed that Islamabad will not allow Afghan territory to be used for anti-Pakistan terrorism.
Military operations under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq will continue until Pakistan fully achieves its targets in Afghanistan, officials added.
