Pakistan has officially launched MARKAZ, a 24/7 Industry Facilitation Center designed to support IT companies, startups, freelancers, BPOs, and call centres. The initiative, introduced by the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), aims to boost the country’s digital economy by simplifying business processes and removing hurdles that affect growth.
A One-Window Platform for Faster Business Operations
MARKAZ serves as a comprehensive help desk where tech firms can access assistance for business registration, regulatory approvals, and compliance requirements. The platform offers step-by-step guidance for documentation involving key institutions such as the SECP, PTA, EOBI, Social Security, and provincial labour departments.
The center will also address operational and policy-related challenges — an area where many IT firms face delays due to complex procedures. According to officials, MARKAZ will coordinate directly with government bodies to ensure issues are resolved quickly, helping companies avoid bottlenecks that often slow expansion.
Round-the-Clock Support for the Tech Sector
Designed as a strategic support framework for Pakistan’s IT ecosystem, MARKAZ will provide 24/7 assistance on export revenue processes, regulatory matters, and industry-specific concerns. The objective is to create a business-friendly environment that enables startups and established companies to scale with fewer obstacles.
The Ministry of IT & Telecom and PSEB consider this platform a major step toward strengthening Pakistan’s digital infrastructure. By offering timely support and streamlined workflows, MARKAZ is expected to enhance competitiveness and fuel long-term growth in the IT and IT-enabled services sector.
