ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has implemented stricter monitoring protocols for all foreign aircraft traversing its airspace, in a move aimed at bolstering national security.
Air Traffic Control (ATC) units across the country have received new directives mandating increased vigilance, with particular attention given to flights originating from or transiting through India.
Under the new measures, any foreign aircraft linked to India will face heightened scrutiny, and any aircraft deemed suspicious will now require high-level clearance before being allowed to enter or pass through Pakistani airspace.
The policy shift comes against the backdrop of escalating regional tensions. Pakistani authorities say the intensified monitoring is a precautionary step to mitigate potential threats and ensure tighter control over national airspace.
