ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Maritime Affairs in Pakistan has officially imposed a ban on Indian-flagged vessels, barring them from entering any Pakistani port with immediate effect.
The directive, outlined in Shipping Order No. 001/2025 issued in Karachi, also restricts Pakistani-flagged vessels from docking at ports in India. The ban will remain in force until further notice.
According to the notification, any exemption requests will be considered individually, subject to thorough review and assessment.
The Ministry cited national and maritime security, sovereignty, and the protection of Pakistanโs economic interests as the primary reasons for the move.
