The seventh Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise-2024 concluded at Kharian Garrison with a notable closing ceremony, featuring Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir as the chief guest.
The exercise involved seven teams from the Pakistan Army and 15 teams from friendly countries, including Bahrain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Qatar, the United States, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Turkey. Additionally, Azerbaijan, China, Germany, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, and Myanmar observed the exercise.
The 60-hour rigorous Patrolling Exercise aimed at enhancing combat skills through the exchange of innovative ideas and experiences among participants. Conducted in the semi-mountainous terrain of Punjab from February 25 to 27, the PATS Exercise has gained prominence as a competitive and professional military activity for friendly countries.
COAS General Syed Asim Munir, in his address, commended the participating teams for their professionalism, physical and mental endurance, and high morale displayed during various stages of the exercise.
He emphasized the importance of mutual learning during such exercises and highlighted PATS as a forum that effectively combines professional military skills and tactical acumen, fostering essential team spirit in the face of the evolving nature of warfare.
During the closing ceremony, General Syed Asim Munir distributed awards to individuals and teams, acknowledging their contributions. International observers and Defense Attachรฉs from participating countries also attended the ceremony, expressing appreciation for the exercise’s professional conduct. The successful conclusion of the PATS Exercise underscores the commitment to enhancing military capabilities and fostering collaboration among friendly nations.
