ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad on Friday. Both leaders agreed to maintain close contact to support mutual understanding and progress.
Shehbaz praised the strong trajectory of Pakistan-Qatar relations. He acknowledged Qatar as a vital partner and respected regional mediator. He highlighted shared faith, values, and mutual respect as the foundation of the partnership.

Shehbaz stressed Pakistan’s interest in expanding collaboration in energy, agriculture, and food security.
He also encouraged joint ventures in the information technology and tourism sectors.
Investment Opportunities Under SIFC
The prime minister called for greater trade and investment cooperation.
He invited Qatari investors to explore new opportunities through the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
