During the 3rd China-Indian Ocean Region Forum on Blue Economy Cooperation, Pakistan and China signed several cooperation agreements, including one focused on implementing Pakistan’s Climate Information and Early Warning System Project.
Luo Zhaohui, Director of the China International Development Cooperation Agency (CIDCA), emphasized CIDCA’s commitment to partnering with Pakistan in executing these vital agreements.
He also highlighted China’s dedication to advancing the joint development of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), promoting the Global Development Initiative (GDI), and further strengthening China-Pakistan development cooperation, which will benefit both countries and their peoples.
Ahsan Iqbal, Pakistan’s Minister for Planning and Development, reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with China across various sectors.
Luo Zhaohui also expressed appreciation for Pakistan’s continuous participation, with high-level delegations attending the forum for three consecutive years. He noted the strong communication between the leadership of both nations and the significant consensus achieved.
Minister Iqbal thanked China for offering a platform for regional countries to share experiences and collaborate, praising China’s leadership in advancing the development of the blue economy.
