Pakistan and Cambodia vowed to deepen their cooperation across key sectors to strengthen bilateral ties based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Officials from Pakistan and Cambodia met on the sidelines of the 3rd Global Muslim Business Forum in Kuala Lumpur. The discussion focused on building long-term partnerships and expanding ongoing collaboration.
The meeting included Pakistan’s Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and Neak Oknha Datuk Dr Othsman Hassan, a senior minister in charge of a special mission for the Cambodian government. Both sides reviewed the current status of bilateral relations and discussed new areas for engagement. They highlighted the need to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and parliamentary exchanges.
Expanded collaboration discussed at regional forum
Officials agreed to explore new avenues for trade facilitation between the two nations. They also discussed improving regional connectivity to support business activity. Chairman Gilani reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to deepening ties with Southeast Asian partners. He said Pakistan values its relationship with Cambodia and seeks greater engagement at the regional level. He also noted that international forums provide vital platforms for interaction between leaders and business groups. He said the GMBF plays an important role in promoting cooperation within the Muslim world.
