ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has set a new record by administering 2.24 million Covid-19 vaccines in a single day on Thursday (Feb 10).
The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) today said, “Another record set with 2.24 million vaccinations in a day. During the last four days in a row we have vaccinated more than 2 million each day,” Asad umer, the planning and development minister tweeted.

“Every 3 out of 4 Pakistanis eligible for vaccination have received at least 1 dose while 58% are fully vaccinated at this time. Well done Pakistan.”
Earlier, the NCOC said Pakistan reported as many as 3,498 fresh cases of COVID-19 during the past 24 hours, lifting the tally of confirmed cases to 1,477,573.
According to NCOC, a total of 58,077 samples were tested, of which 3,498 turned out to be positive, hence, the infection rate was recorded at 6.02 per cent as compared 7.1 percent of the preceding day.
With growing vaccination, Pakistan has seen less hospitalisation and casualties during the fifth wave which started in the country in Jan-2022 with the beginning of an extreme winter. The best way to stay safe from Covid is the vaccination, experts said.
