A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) training aircraft crashed near Ratta Tibba in Vehari on Tuesday, reportedly due to a technical malfunction during a routine training flight.
Thankfully, both pilots managed to eject safely and suffered only minor injuries.
According to preliminary reports, the aircraft lost control mid-air and went down in agricultural fields near Luddan Road, causing damage to crops but no civilian casualties.
Local residents were quick to respond after hearing a loud explosion, followed by thick smoke rising from the crash site. “We saw the pilots descending with parachutes and rushed to help them,” one eyewitness recounted.
Rescue teams, along with district authorities and security personnel, promptly arrived at the scene and began relief and recovery operations. The area was sealed off to aid the ongoing investigation into the incident.
