In her reflections on her former relationship with Nick Jonas, Olivia Culpo acknowledged that she had fantasised about their impending nuptials.
The 30-year-old model discussed her two-year relationship with Jonas on the first episode of TLC’s The Culpo Sisters. The former couple parted ways in 2015.
According to People Magazine, the reality show producers pushed the model to discuss her previous relationship. “Do I have to talk about that?” She said, “I did date Nick and that was a very life-changing experience for me.”
I moved to L.A. with him, she continued, thinking back on their early relationship and how their breakup affected her. I was in love but had no brand and no money. That was great at the start, but after he dumped me, I felt a little lost.
She continued, “My entire identity was in him, which is a very typical tale of a young person in love. In my apartment, which I couldn’t afford, I just remember staring up at the ceiling night after night and wondering how I’m going to pay my rent.
I thought we were going to get married. I thought about everything.
She admitted, “I couldn’t even afford my groceries at the time. It was a significant turning point in my life and taught me I shouldn’t give up.
Since then, the couple has moved past their breakup. Jonas is wed to Priyanka Chopra, an actress. According to People, Culpo and running back Christian McCaffrey of the San Francisco 49ers have successfully moved on.
