Price Drop Brings Relief to Households
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has announced a reduction in LPG prices for October, offering some relief to consumers. According to the official notification, the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been slashed by Rs6.70 per kilogram.
As a result, the price of an 11.8 kg domestic LPG cylinder has been reduced by Rs79.14. The new price of a domestic cylinder is now fixed at Rs2,448.33.
This revised pricing will take effect from midnight and remain valid throughout the month of October.
New LPG Rate Set to Boost Affordability
The price cut is part of OGRA’s monthly fuel price adjustment. It reflects changes in the international LPG market and aims to stabilize costs for households and small businesses.
LPG is widely used in homes across Pakistan, especially in areas with limited access to piped natural gas. The new rates are expected to ease the financial burden on low- and middle-income families as winter approaches.
OGRA has urged LPG distributors and retailers to comply with the updated pricing and avoid overcharging. Strict action will be taken against those found violating the official price list.
The announcement comes amid growing public concern over inflation and rising utility costs. Consumers have welcomed the move and hope for further reductions in upcoming months.
