ISLAMABAD: The Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), operating under the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), has announced a paid internship program aimed at equipping young professionals with practical experience across key domains. The initiative supports the government’s broader goal of promoting emigration through G-to-G (government-to-government) and B-to-B (business-to-business) employment arrangements.
Internship Opportunities
The program offers placements in the following areas:
- Information Technology / Computer Science
Skills: MERN Stack, Python development, system architecture design, requirement analysis, Canva, Figma. - Finance and Audit
Skills: Financial analysis, budgeting, auditing, IFRS compliance, risk assessment, Excel, ODOO, QuickBooks. - Marketing and Research
Skills: Research, awareness campaign planning, content development, data analysis, Canva, Adobe Suite, video editing tools. - Human Resource Management (HRM)
Skills: Recruitment, HRIS, performance evaluation, labor law compliance, employee engagement, training and development.
Internship Duration
The internship will initially span two years, with extensions based on intern performance and the program’s objectives.
Eligibility Criteria and Stipends
Candidates must hold a degree from a HEC-recognized institution, earned within the past two years, with at least a 3.0 CGPA or 70% marks. Age must not exceed 30 years as of the application deadline.
Monthly Remuneration:
- Graduate (14 years of education): Rs. 50,000
- Postgraduate (16 years): Rs. 60,000
- Postgraduate Specialization (18 years): Rs. 70,000
Additional Requirements
- Interns must bring their own laptops and arrange transportation.
- Full-time commitment is mandatory, with adherence to OEC’s working hours and policies.
- Original documents and attested copies must be presented during the interview.
- Any false information will result in disqualification and legal action.
