Deepika Padukone is the latest Bollywood celebrity to test positive for the novel coronavirus.
While the actor herself has not given any formal or informal announcement, the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) broke the unfortunate news via social media.
“Deepika Padukone has tested positive for Covid-19. Get well soon, Deepika!”

According to Khaleej Times, the ‘Bajirao Mastani’ star is currently in Bangalore with her family. On Tuesday, her father, badminton icon Prakash Padukone, had to be admitted to hospital due to high fever while her mother, Ujjala Padukone, and younger sister, Anisha, have also tested positive for the virus.
Previously, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and director Sanjay Leela Bhansali also contracted the virus.
