The 62-year-old homemaker from Mumbai, who was battling a terminal illness, had directed her bank to transfer all her assets to Dutt. The news deeply moved the actor, especially as he had no personal connection with Patil.
Despite her generosity, Dutt has chosen not to accept the inheritance. His lawyer confirmed that the actor intends to return the assets to Patil’s family, expressing his gratitude for the gesture but clarifying that he had never met or known her personally.
Dutt shared his sentiments, saying, “I will not be claiming anything. I did not know Nisha, and I am very overwhelmed by the entire incident.”
