Authorities have reopened the Babusar Top and Saif-ul-Maluk roads in Mansehra following a three-day closure caused by heavy snowfall, officials confirmed. The closure had temporarily halted access to one of the region’s most popular tourist destinations, but snow-clearing efforts by the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) have now ensured safe passage for visitors.
KDA teams, working alongside the Deputy Commissioner of Mansehra, cleared snow from both routes, restoring connectivity and making travel safe for tourists. The reopening is a relief for travelers who were previously unable to reach Lake Saif-ul-Maluk due to blocked roads and adverse weather conditions.
Officials announced that tourists can now visit Lake Saif-ul-Maluk daily from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This updated visiting schedule ensures that travelers have a safe window to enjoy the lake’s pristine scenery while avoiding potential hazards associated with early morning or late evening visits, particularly during snowy conditions.
The reopening of Babusar Top and Saif-ul-Maluk roads not only benefits tourists but also supports local businesses and communities that rely on tourism for their livelihood. Local hotels, restaurants, and transport operators are expected to see increased activity as visitors return to the area.
Tourists visiting Lake Saif-ul-Maluk can expect to experience the snow-capped peaks, clear blue waters, and serene environment that have made the lake a must-see destination in northern Pakistan. Authorities continue to monitor road conditions and weather forecasts to ensure ongoing safety and have advised visitors to follow all travel guidelines while exploring the region.
The Kaghan Development Authority emphasized that maintaining these routes during winter and ensuring accessibility during snowfall is part of their ongoing efforts to promote tourism and provide a secure environment for travelers. With the roads now open, tourists can safely enjoy the breathtaking views and natural beauty of Lake Saif-ul-Maluk, making for a memorable and scenic visit.
