Pakistan is preparing for a significant reshuffle in its diplomatic corps, with several key ambassadorial and consular appointments expected across its missions worldwide, according to sources within the Foreign Office.

Director General for the Middle East, Altamash Wazir Khan, is expected to be appointed as ambassador to Kyrgyzstan. Meanwhile, Irfan Shaukat is being considered for the role of High Commissioner to Australia, and Ilyas Nizami may be posted as ambassador to Romania.
The diplomatic reshuffle also includes Tariq Kareem, who is being proposed as Pakistan’s next ambassador to Myanmar. The current ambassador to Myanmar, Imran Haider, is set to take on a new assignment in Bangladesh.
Further appointments include Shah Faisal Kakar as ambassador to Niger and Mustafa Rabbani as Consul General in Jeddah. Additionally, Director General for Europe, Shehbaz Hussain Khokhar, is expected to be posted as Consul General in Montreal, Canada.
The Foreign Office is expected to officially confirm and announce these new diplomatic postings in the coming days.
