A woman and her “high-ranking armed forces officer” brother were charged after a video of her attacking DSP Traffic Ishtiaq Hussain Arain went viral.
The case was opened after SSP South Asad Raza became aware of the incident.
The FIR was filed at Karachi’s Civil Lines Police Station and included provisions for both violating and interfering with traffic laws.
The woman and her husband attacked the DSP Traffic after being stopped near PIDC Karachi following an altercation over traffic flow.
In the viral video of the incident, the woman is seen getting out of her car and acting inappropriately toward the police officer.
Later, the woman pushed the law enforcement officer and tried to flee the scene.
In the video, she can be seen slapping the DSP Traffic after he tries to stop her.
The woman works at PNS Shifa hospital, while her brother Asad is a prominent military figure, according to sources.

Case Filed
The woman Anam and her brother Asad have been named in the case, according to the FIR.
According to the FIR, the police officer stood at the PIDC station around 9 a.m. owing to VVIP movement.
As per FIR, the woman’s car was stopped for breaking the signal and being reckless.
FIR states:
“The policeman was talking to the driver (her husband) when the woman got out of her car and misbehaved with the policeman.
“The woman abused and slapped the DSP Traffic.”
According to the FIR, the woman and her brother rushed to the police station and threatened the DSP and other officers.
According to the police, an investigation has begun following the filing of the case, and the woman and her brother will be arrested soon.
The DSP told the media that the woman assaulted him and kept referring to her brother as a senior military officer.
However, he stated that they returned to the station to deal with the situation.
The DSP claimed that while he can forgive them for assaulting a police officer on duty, he cannot forgive them for the personal harm and humiliation they caused him.
