KARACHI – A 45-year-old woman lost her life after falling from the fourth floor of a residential building near Badr Commercial in Karachi’s upscale Defence Phase 5 area.
The deceased, identified as Nida, wife of Zulfiqar and mother to five children, reportedly plunged to her death under circumstances that remain unclear.
Initial reports suggest that her husband is involved in the real estate business. The tragic incident took place on Thursday, prompting emergency responders to shift the body to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal procedures.
Eyewitnesses at the scene claimed that Nida may have jumped from the building, suggesting a possible suicide. However, police are treating the case with caution and investigating from all angles.
Officials say both suicide and accidental fall are being considered as potential causes of death. Investigators are currently recording statements from Nida’s family members and close acquaintances to piece together what led to the fatal plunge.
Authorities have stated that further clarity will emerge once forensic reports, surveillance footage, and additional evidence are thoroughly reviewed.
