LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Punjab’s Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced ambitious plans to modernize government schools with smart classrooms and digital labs, marking a significant step toward integrating technology into education.
Speaking on Digital Learning Day, CM Maryam emphasized the crucial link between technological progress and education.
“Development is now tied to technology, and Punjab’s youth must be equipped with the skills to meet modern demands,” she stated.
Enhancing IT Education in Punjab
To align students with international market demands, the Punjab government is rolling out advanced IT training programs, offering courses in artificial intelligence (AI), software development, and freelancing. These globally recognized certifications will help young professionals secure jobs in the digital economy.
Pakistan’s First ‘Nawaz Sharif IT City’ in Lahore
CM Maryam also announced the establishment of Pakistan’s first Nawaz Sharif IT City in Lahore, a state-of-the-art tech hub designed to foster innovation and employment.
