Security forces have eliminated seven terrorists and injured two others in a series of intelligence-based operations across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
In Balochistan, three separate operations were conducted in the Awaran, Dera Bugti, and Kech districts, resulting in the death of four terrorists. In Awaran, two most-wanted militants, Niaz alias Ghuman and Zareef alias Shah Jahan, were killed after intense clashes with security forces. One terrorist was neutralized in Dera Bugti, while another was eliminated in Kech.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a similar intelligence-based operation in Bannu led to the death of three terrorists and the injury of two others. These militants were reportedly involved in attacks on security forces and targeted killings of civilians. During the operation, security forces recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives.
Both President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the bravery and dedication of the security forces. President Zardari emphasized the commitment to continuing operations until terrorism is completely eradicated, while Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed that the fight against terrorism would persist until all threats are neutralized, vowing to defeat those who threaten peace and security in Pakistan.
