According to wildlife experts, leopards rarely attack people, but they occasionally do so out of rage when they see a lot of people.
The local government has urged the residents to maintain peace, and in the interim, a portion of the Islamabad Capital Police has been stationed in the region.
In Case of any emergency, call 15, the Capital Police advised.
Another leopard was killed in a village in Azad Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, according to Islamabad Wildlife Management Board (IWMB) chairperson Rina S. Khan Satti.
She claimed in a series of tweets that the wild cat was killed by a mob of 200 villagers in Jhelum Valley’s Hattian Bala.
“Heartbreaking news: yet another common leopard was killed today by villagers in Azad Kashmir.” “A mob of 200 attacked a leopard who came close to the village and mercilessly killed the animal,” the chairperson tweeted.
