Prize Bond Result
The National Savings Centre in Rawalpindi announced the results of the Rs750 prize bond draw held for July 2025 on Tuesday, revealing the winning numbers for the first and second prizes.
According to officials, the draw took place at 10:00 am, with prize bond number 953346 winning the first prize of Rs1.5 million. The second prize, worth Rs500,000 each, was awarded to three bondholders whose numbers were 294897, 651248, and 965105.
The Directorate of National Savings is expected to release the complete list of winners, including those in the third prize category, on its official website soon.
The Rs750 prize bond remains one of the most popular denominations in Pakistan, with thousands of citizens participating in the regular quarterly draws. It continues to be a preferred investment option for many who seek both security and the chance to win substantial cash prizes.
Tax on prize money increased
In a related development, the federal government has revised the tax rates on prize bond winnings. The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) recently issued a notification stating that filers registered with the tax system will now face a 15% withholding tax on their prize bond earnings.
Non-filers, however, will be subject to a significantly higher tax deduction of 30% on their winnings. This change is part of broader fiscal reforms aimed at encouraging tax compliance and increasing documentation within the economy.
Experts believe that the higher tax rates on non-filers will discourage informal economic activities and motivate more citizens to register with tax authorities, helping expand the formal tax base.
Prize bond as popular investment choice
Prize bonds have been a widely trusted investment choice for millions of Pakistanis over the decades. Managed by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) since the 1960s in partnership with the central bank, prize bonds provide a government-backed, secure way for people to save money while having the opportunity to win large cash prizes.
These bonds are issued in various denominations, ranging from Rs100 to Rs40,000, allowing investors the flexibility to choose according to their financial capacity and preferences.

The bonds operate as “bearer instruments,” meaning they can be easily transferred without the need for registration, making them accessible to individuals across Pakistan. Despite their popularity, the government has introduced new measures to reduce misuse and enhance transparency within the prize bond system.
